2 subby cars: Roof Leakage & hesitation at idle

hi, I have a 2014 Outback that leaks from the roof when it rains,  It has a sunroof.  I took it to subaru 1 time, and they supposedly cleared the drains but it still leaks.  it leaks into the rear passenger foot well.  1 time it rained really HARD and the car's alarm started going off, did something electrical happened from the water?  once the water cleared up, car went back to normal.  subaru stated they can do a complete teardown of the roof & floor board to find the issue but it may cost a couple grand...   is it worth it?  or should I get rid of it?

also I have a 2016 Forester (40K miles) that started to have some hesitation at idle, like the car's about to die.  I've replaced the air filter but it still does it.  took to subaru and they could not find anything wrong (no trouble codes).  they stated they can keep the car for further testing but I don't know if I want them to have it.  is it the spark plugs?  should I attempt to replace them?  I've never worked on a boxer before but it might save a good amount if I tried it.

thoughts?

For the sun roof leak, you can do a simple test: Pour some water in the sunroof rail and you should be able to see it comes out from two tubes under your car (next to tires) and usually they are two. Check it yourself to see if they are clogged or not.

For your second car, change the fuel filter and then pressure test the fuel pump. Also, clean the MAF sensor.

Good luck.
