Hi Scotty, I have 210k miles on my amazing 4 wheel drive, V6, 4runner.  I’ve had it since it had 19k. I’ve driven it hard but always maintained it well. It doesn’t use any oil and has no leaks, starts right up, but it is a little slower than it used to be. I use the “ECT” regularly now on the highway it helps give it a little more power. What would you be looking out for as far as possible repairs coming down the road? I’m now gentle with it didn’t know it would last this long.

As a 98 4Runner Ltd owner I would look at replacing the radiator soon. The radiator holds the radiator fluid and transmission fluid separated by a sealed partition. The seal can crack and leak over time. Once the tranny fluid and radiator fluid mix it will total the engine.

Clean the MAF and throttle body. Also, use some fuel injection cleaner.
