Hey, so i got a 2000 Chevy Suburban 2wd 175k miles, and I went down a rabbit hole of looking into the codes of my truck and the codes it spat out at me were

  • P0567
  • P1571
  • P0568
  • P1574
  • P1571
  • P0756
  • P0499
  • U1041
  • U1000
  • U1301

I really think it’s an electrical problem and i hope someone can confirm since the P0756 code which is the 2-3 shift solenoid valve performance (no first second gear) pops up but my transmission still shifts between all 4 gears. And the P0567/568 codes are in regards to my cruise control which still works.

Another reason why I think it’s electrical is because sometimes in idle I see volt meter pin fall below 14V and thus my dash and headlights dim.

any tips on how to tackle this? Thanks!

Well the big clue there is the you codes. Those are communication codes meaning either the main computer has gone bad or the wiring or sensors that fade the main computer have problems. It can be a stinker to figure out. So erase all the codes then drive it until the first code pops up. Then go from there. So if it's the u code then is the first one that pops up. It's probably the main computer or the wiring going to it. Good luck
