2001 Corolla stalling issue

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla Sport, auto trans, with 260k mi on it. Recently I was driving it around and the the car stalled out of nowhere. It was running fine up until that point and just gave out for no reason. All the lights came on up on the dash and my gas stopped and brakes were heavier. After this, the check engine light turned on. Previously, the check engine light was on when I was driving it home during the last half of the trip when I bought it, but the second time driving, it wasn't on. Second time it stalled, I was accelerating after stopping at a stop sign and it stalled in the middle of the road. Drove it back home and got my dad to drive it around to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, the car didn't stall anymore, but the check engine light was still on. Car didn't make any alarming sounds before or after the stall. Any ideas?

Before driving the previous day, I disconnected the battery to install a stereo I bought, and made sure that the terminals had good connection after I finished. I drove it the day of the stereo installation no problem with no check engine light on.

*Car also has a minor oil leak, but the oil is at a fine level but I will have to get some more soon.

Yes, I’d replace all the spark plugs too if they haven’t been changed in a while -

More than likely just that one ignition coil? Not the PCM because not all of the ignition coils are out of sync? I am going to diagnose it more with freeze frame data to see exactly what's happening later today.

Sure. You can also try swapping the #1 coil to another cylinder & see if the codes moves.

Well realize when you replace the battery then the idle has to be relearned so if I were you I would just drive around a week or two and if it doesn't install anymore it's just resetting itself. But to get the car scanned for the code that exists because the engine light is on and give me that code and I can analyze further

Later today my brother will come over and run his OBDII tool on it, I'll reply with the codes.

Check engine light is no longer on. Got an OBDII tool and am expecting it tmrw. Will send codes if any come up later today

Hey Scotty, just got the scanner today and I was thrown the code P1300. Seems that it's a Igniter Coil Malfunction NO. 1. Likely that I need to replace that coil?
