Hi guys. I have a 2001 f150 with the 4.6, and I was wondering if any of you guys have one of these trucks and can tell if there is a big difference between the 40 series and super 10 flowmaster. It has 4 cats(from factory) 40 series SI/DO with angle cut tips. I want to upgrade to the super 10 but I don't want to regret it if its too raspy. The exhaust videos on YouTube are way different than real life in terms of volume.
I'm running a Gibson exhaust on my 5.4 F250 but have run 40 series on Chevy cars I've owned.
For me the 40 series just wasn't loud enough so I went to straight pipes but I was also much younger at the time.
There's also the issue that the more radical you go, the more likely you'll need someone with forscan software to program the ecu as the sensors will interpret the free flow as a leak.
