Hey Scotty, I have a 2002 Lexus RX300 with 80,000 miles on it for $6000 is it ok for a first car? For daily driving?
They can be good daily drivers and that’s a good deal for a 19 year old Lexus with that mileage. Always make sure a professional and dependable mechanic checks it out before purchase.
I recently bought a 2003 with 170000 miles for my grandson, it will be his first car. Since yours is at 80000, replace the timing belt and water pump, and do a transmission fluid drain and fill if these have not already been done. If yours has been well maintained and you continue with it, it should last many more years.
I agree with the above comments. Just make sure you check all the plastic and rubber parts (including the radiator) because of age.
