Hey Scotty! I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty 3.7 V6 RWD that I only use in the summers in Puerto Rico. She has 120k miles and doesn't skip a beat. I was wondering what your thoughts are on changing her transmission fluid if she runs prefect but with that somewhat higher mileage? (Now babied and driven around 1k miles a year).
I own a 2012 Liberty RWD I inherited. Changed the transmission fluid/filter out at 110k and I’ve had zero issues with it. I’m with Scotty when it comes to changing out transmission fluid at high mileage. I will say though check the fluid 1st. If it’s black like tar I wouldn’t change it. If it’s a dark brown color like mine was like I said I haven’t had any issues since changing the fluid/filter out. Bear in mind, the 4 speeds that are in the Liberty run hotter than they should. Just keep babying that transmission as it continues to age.
