Scotty,
My daughter's 2004 Honda Pilot (3.5L V6 24V gasoline, 4WD, automatic, 160K miles, new timing belt & water pump installed Aug 3rd 2021 by a professional) cranks at normal speed but frequently won't start when the weather is cold. When it gets warmer later in the day it'll fire right up. Once it starts it runs fine and as long as the engine is warm it starts fine. Battery (new) and alternator test good. The vehicle had one DTC (P0128, Coolant Thermostat, coolant temp below thermostat regulating temp) logged back when this issue started, but was cleared and hasn't returned. Currently no DTCs are stored. Live data when engine is running show nothing suspect. Any advice where to look?
Thx, BillU
The first cold weather of the year really does a number on car batteries in the morning. I would check the voltage with the car off first thing in the morning and then later in the day when it's warmed up. I know you said you got a new battery but have it load tested just to make sure you didn't get a piece of junk.
