In the mornings in my car when I begin to turn the wheels I get this awful sound like some stretch or clunk, do I need new power steering fluid? Secondly, when I throw my car into reverse, it makes another kind of metal stretching or scratching sound for a second before stopping. It has 60000 miles.

We have to pinpoint where the noise is coming from if it's the power steering pump it's either low on fluid or the pump itself is damaged internally. That's where the backup noise is it the same noise or is the different noise see what area it's coming from.
I flushed out my power steering fluid and put some brand new fluid in and the turning noise has stopped completely, the reverse gear noise has actually gone away too, thanks Scotty!
