Hey Scotty I'm new driver and I've been trying to get used to the insides of my jeep. It has 156,880 miles on it. My mom got this car used from a previous owner who said it's mostly got highway miles on it, now the reason I'm here is because I found out that it took 5W-30 oil but I saw that we had 3 individual 5W-20 quarts LOL😂 and some was used so I'm assuming that it has that kind of oil in the engine and on top of that, after I checked my dip stick I saw it was low on it too(Like it wasn't in the optimal range), did my research and I figured I should use synthetic but idk what are your thoughts and what kind of oil should I use for it and how should I go about this?
Thank you in advance -JG
any oil is fine and the jeep is burning oil since there it sounds like the previous owner did not change it enough i would get the compression checked and look for leaks to find out if it is burning or leaking oil.
also there are several other problems that people stated who drive a 2004 Jeep Liberty. Oxygen sensor failure, burnt valve cover gaskets, hydraulic lift support, lower coolant hose and faulty AC system.
