2004 Land Cruiser Automatic Downshifting issues

Hi Scotty,  love your work and enthusiasm.  Over here in Qatar.   I have 2004 V6 GXR Land Cruiser.   Love the car, but I just realized the car is not downshifting when I floor the gas.  The car seems to have no power and cant accelerate and revs low not past 2000rpm.  This only happens after the car seems to have been running for a while.  When I start the car, it downshifts normally.  Also, if it is not downshifting,  I come to a stop and put it in neutral and then rev up the engine.   This usually fixes it for a couple of minutes but then begins to not downshift again.  I had this problem for a while.   What could be the issue???   Throttle body??  Electrical?? downshifting solenoid???  Does the computer need to be reprogramed???  Other than this issue everything is running well

Thanks for the advice. The only problem is that this problem might not happen while the computer is plugged in. I also don't know if they have the proper tools. I've been to two Toyota service centers. They don't have ac computer. I have to go to their main center. This place is always busy.

Do you have an idea what might be the problem??

My advice is find a mechanic like me and bring him the car when it's all warmed up and go for a road test when it acts up his scan tool will record the last 45 seconds of data and find what the problem is any high level scan tool has that capability

When it does not downshift, if you turn off the car and immediately turn it on, is the downshifting issue still there?
