Dear Scotty what are your thoughts about 2004 Nissan Maxima with 6 speed manual transmission? The car has 178.000 miles recently had catalic converter problem used cataclean and changed vaias solenoid after P1800 code and seems to run fine. Occasionally check engine light comes on and off but gives no codes otherwise. I have the car since brand new no new clutch yet:) which is pretty good I guess. Thank you so much

Well back then they were pretty well made that was just not long after Ronald took over Nissan and they hadn't ruined the company yet.

I already put 4 bottles of cataclean it smells like lacquer thinner and it’s definitely made a big difference after burning 4 tanks of gas with each bottle of cataclean. Car drives pretty good definitely getting lower mileage and has less power the dealer said to replace 3 converters and I should be fine. Should I just add gallon of lacquer thinner before I go out and spend 3000$ in parts alone? Thank you Scotty

As long as it was maintained those are very good cars and the 6 speeds were  a blast they ripped for what they are

Yeah 6 speed and a rather funky-looking sports sedan, sure! Just have a mechanic inspect it.
