2004 Toyota Corolla

I just change the engine oil the day before the issue presented itself. After changing the oil I seen that the oil was surprisingly dark and red.The car had previously not had an oil change in over a year, the day after the oil change it started to perform sluggish and sort of stall.

Well if you didn't put dark red oil in, unfortunately you seem to have something wrong in your engine oil system. Such as the head gasket leaking and coolant, mixing with your oil or a leak in the transmission cooler which is getting engine oil and transmission fluid mixed. Unless your oil was red out of the bottle

@scottykilmer Thank you at first I had thought overfilling slightly during the oil change was the issue was the issue but from these I options I think it’s the transmission cooler. Since when I check the transmission oil level it didn’t mark on the dipstick. Car is my younger brothers and said he had not change the oil in a little over a year.
