Hi Scotty!
I've a 2008 Mustang V6 and it's having alternator problems. I've searched forums and have found thousands of people with the same problems with the alternators, batteries and starters going out every year.
The complete wiring setup for the battery is a cluster. The location of the plugs and grounding wiring on the alternator are almost flush with high heat engine parts. (Valve covers etc)
Im in a Facebook forum for the s197 (05-09 bodystyle) There are grounding issues that need to be solved. How can on that particular model can we insure PROPER grounding of the battery and alternator ourselves? Mechanics are only replacing the parts every year and NEVER telling the cause.
Alternators are over $225 on a Mustang.
My battery died. Alternator was going out and then starter failed. That's about 500 in parts alone.
Please help.
I just want to know where I can get a QUALITY aftermarket battery LEAD rewiring kit, a quality alternator grounding kit and where to install it. brand new alternator plug assembly and how to insure (via a DIY) sufficient grounding of this model. If you'd do a VIDEO on it we'd love ya for it!
We just want to enjoy our Mustangs. You're our only hope.
Or any help via your website would be good. Thanks for your time. Keep up the great work!
Joey
