So I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado and every time I go to start it the first time it cranks  but won’t start and then I have to shut the key off and the second time it turns right on and I replaced the starter and thought it was that but it wasn’t and I tried leaving the key on the on position for 5 minutes to see if it was the fuel pump but it wasn’t you can hear it on and just did the spark plugs don’t know what it could be and the check engine light is on but it say it is the Cadillac converter

you can hear it on

That doesn't matter. You need to measure fuel pressure.

it say it is the Cadillac converter

Cool. I didn't know you could convert a Colorado to a Cadillac.

So what you think it is?

I don't know. I don't have the engine in front of me.

Like I said, I would need to measure the fuel pressure first. And also visually confirm there's good spark.

Well the truck turns on on the second time after you shut off the key

It runs good drive it to work every day does not die out or shut off

Next time try turning the key to run position, then off. Do that a few times, and then try to start.
