[Solved] 2005 Ford Freestyle Radiator

My son was given a 2005 Ford Freestyle with 230K miles. It has a consistent service record over 16 years, drives well, but needs a new radiator. The estimate is $1,600 from a local mechanic. I'd like to replace it myself, but have read there are many coolant hoses (7+) involved. I'm wondering if this is worth the effort (assuming I should replace all the hoses too), or if I'd be better off selling it for parts. Thanks!

The radiator is available from every parts store for around $200, cheaper if you shop around.  Go to http://www.fordfreestyle.com for instructions on how to do the job, then send me the $1000 I just saved you.
