I am looking to buy a 2005 Toyota Sequoia to replace the compass I just sold. The seller says that the car lurches at takeoff when the car is under a 1/4 tank. She says that she replaced the fuel pump a few years ago and thinks that it might be positioned wrong? I have no idea what that means. She says it started about a year ago after not long after the fuel pump was replaced. I haven't seen anything about this online, y'all have any ideas? Please let me know.

Never believe anything a seller says. Scanning for codes and live data may reveal some clues. It's also possible the 17-year-old engine and transmission mounts are shot and the engine is shifting around when you take off, creating a lurching sensation.
Alright, will do.
