How do I realign my steering column

Hello I recently have the clutch fail on my 2006 Honda Civic Si 180K miles.

I did the whole clutch job myself and part of the clutch job was dropping the subframe, and during that I tried to suspend the steering rack, but it was not secure enough, and the rack pulled out of the steering column. I lost track of where the rack and the steering shaft should meet, so I tried my best to eyeball reconnecting the two. my steering is a little bit off-center, but it’s not so bad.

1. One can I get a front end alignment to compensate for the little bit that my steering is off? it’s just slightly to the side probably off a couple teeth / 2-3cm on the wheel.

2. when reconnecting, I lost track of the wheel, and I had spun the wheel around a full turn at least once, this caused me to rip my clock spring wire, which I knew was a possibility from reading Honda forms.

if I am able to have the steering corrected with a front end alignment, afterward could I install a new clock spring starting at the center?

One can I get a front end alignment

if you're going to do that , then you might as well re-insert the shaft while the wheels and steering wheel are both centered.

I think monkeying with the geometry (you would have to adjust EVERYTHING ) just to compensate for that one tooth is silly. Sounds like a terrible idea.

You could have also just done a poor man's alignment with some string and a helper instead of eyeballing.
