2006 Honda Odyssey Losing power and stopping while driving

I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey and while driving it the other day the power just shut off and the van came to a stop.  An hour later it was normal again.  Scan tool picked up nothing.  I have read about maybe a relay connected to Fuel pump acting up, but I have no real answers.  Any ideas?

Start off with cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body. If that doesn't work, then inspect the air filter and fuel filter.

Thanks, I will check those things out.

I cleaned the MAF and throttle body, replaced the air filter and the fuel pump relay. If it happens again should I just replace the fuel pump and filter?

Check the fuel injectors. They might need to be cleaned. If that doesn't work, then replace the fuel pump and filter.

I appreciate it. Its my wife's car and I don't want to see her stranded again. Happy Easter.

Hello again, I had to take the van to a friend who is a mechanic. Fuel pump is fine. I did get a code finally and it was P0506, but that is vague. My friend said he thinks the computer or a sensor is off causing the timing to be off which is cutting out the air to the engine. So far though, no real answers. PCM may be going out also is a possibility to him. Any more thoughts?

My friend and I have looked it up and there doesn't seem to be one on the 2006 odyssey.

Check the Idle Air Control valve.

If it’s not the P0506 code.

One thing to check is the battery terminals and connection. Make sure they are clean and tight.

I had intermittent problems with my 1999 Accord. The engine would cut off, the gauge cluster would zero out, and the digital clock would start fading. But then spontaneously come back on. Seconds later.

It turned out to be one loose terminal connections to the battery. I ended up shimming it, because my battery connectors were too far rusted to move. (The proper fix is to change out the connectors. So far so good with my temporary fix though.)
