2006 Nissan pathfinder 115k miles automatic 4wd had the car since 2007 18k miles on it when i bought it.
service engine soon light came on giving knock sensor code p0327 scanned. My dashboard would click off and on while driving losing engine power and immediately come right back all while driving. I took to mechanic he replaced both knock sensors and the camshaft position sensors all gaskets for the intake manifold replaced. The next day while driving it did the same thing again spitting out the same code for knock sensor he then replaced the wire harness to the knock sensor stating it could be a short. I drove the car again same thing happened he then changed the oxygen sensor and again same thing next day. The car seems to be running rough when i gotten it back like much less horsepower.
There are times now that the dashboard lights all come on like the oil light the brake light and the wrench light in the center i shut car off for a few restart and it all goes away except service engine soon light stays on. I don't know what else to do is there something else i'm overlooking These knock sensors are a pain to replace $300 for 2 knock sensors prices are thru the roof as we all know. so far i've spent $1500 and still problems i hate to get rid of the car as prices for cars are extremely high right now. Thank you for any advice
The problem is it is a bad design for knock sensors on those V6 engines. But you may have a computer failure now from what you tell me sometimes of the sensors go bad enough they can short out the computer and you can change the sensors all you want but the driver's in the computer have gone bad I would pay a really pro mechanic to check that out first
Sounds like you need to take it somewhere else.. a knock sensor code will not turn your check engine light on or do anything with your cluster. You have what could be unrelated problems. At 115k on a 4.0 it has a long life ahead of it I’m just more curious what codes they are actually coming up with because it seems like they’re just tossing parts and crossing fingers
