  • I have a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder SV. 2 weeks ago I took it to a mechanic to get a swap for a Mass Air flow sensor from a check engine code. Upon getting the vehicle back, the same code popped back up. Along with that, the TCS system goes off sporadically while driving. According to the mechanic, they did purchase a new MAFS however the problem still ensues. This causes my transmission to be rough and RPMS to bounce around once TCS is on along with difficulty getting up to speed. Any suggestions on this peculiar problem Would help greatly!

Well I would start with a better mechanic. I obviously doesn't know what he's doing. And I don't know. Did he put in a factory OEM sensors or some cheap Chinese crap from a discount auto parts store which hardly ever work. Let's say he put on a brand new sensor that was OEM and it didn't fix it. Well that wasn't the problem. He should have checked it out other than just replacing a sensor and guessing. You can have wiring problems. You could have all kinds of things like vacuum leaks. Many things can trip those codes. They are relatively generic codes. So if I were you I'd start with a new mechanic
