Hi Scotty, I have a 2007 Ford Focus with 107k miles. At idle the rpm fluctuates from 500-1000. Runs fine when I actually drive, only runs rough in park. Code p0300. Check engine light periodically goes away for awhile but always comes back on. Don’t want to waste money guessing on the problem, I know p0300 can be a real pain.

This indicates a faulty ignition or fuel system. Lots of possibilities here. It sounds like a high dollar scan tool would really help narrowing down the problem.
