Hi Scotty I am going to look at a 2007 Accord with the 2.4L I4 with 138,000 miles I was wondering if this year has the transmission issues you always talk about in the earlier Hondas or if it was remedied by that model year I was also wondering if I did purchase the car if a drain and fill on the transmission fluid with regular intervals of 60,000 miles if the transmission will hold up to at least 250,000 cars in great shape guy is asking 3,700 but I wouldn't pay more than 2,500 any input would be appreciated thanks Alex

2007 was the last year of the generation and did not have the transmission problems anywhere near the degree of the earlier years of the generation. There is a "Common Problems: Toyota & Honda" page linked below check that out.

Still the transmission are a bit weak and there is a chance it might fail but really if you take care of it it should last you a while.

@kaizen 2007 is the seventh generation and came with the 5 speed automatic

Thanks for the heads up.

This is just from memory...

I could be wrong, but I don't remember 4 Cylinder Engines mated to Automatic Transmissions on Accord's having any problems.

It was also the Civic Automatic transmissions that had major problems. It was the early CVT transmissions that had problems.

I know there were some troubles with the 6 Cylinders mated to Automatic Transmissions on other Honda/Acura vehicles that had problems.

But the 4 Cylinder Engines with Automatics, I don't think there were problems.

I'd like to hear others thoughts on this.  There are so many variations, and so many details.

BTW, when you say 2007 Honda Accord, do you mean the seventh generation or the eighth generation Accord?

Thanks for the input the seventh generation now I’ve seen how it was worded
