Should I straight pipe my exhaust?

2007 Honda accord 2.4L vp

So I honestly don't have any money to properly fix the codes I had so I was just gonna see about straight piping it but idk how that works what happens to the downstream o2 sensor and would it affect my car I plan on replacing the wire for that sensor due to the p0317 code cause honestly it's hanging underneath and it looks like it's been through some stuff some insight would be nice please and thank you

What codes specifically? You only mention one...

That code has nothing to do with your exhaust system or O2 sensors.

I think we're going to need a clear and concise account of what is actually going on; the symptoms you're experiencing, the codes you're seeing, as well as any live or freeze-frame data you have available.


I had originally a p0420 used a cleaner cel went off went back on and with a p0420/p0137

Did you look up the various potential causes of that code? It may not be your catalytic converter. You need to do more diagnosis before taking action.
