Hey scotty what do you think of the 2007-2010 jeep commanders, do you think these are reliable vehicles since this was before FIAT had taken over chrysler? I own a 07 with 174k miles and it runs and drives perfectly
This isn't any help for you, Gabriel, but I'm currently looking at buying a 2007 Jeep Commander (4.7 V8) with 130,000 miles. I need a little encouragement to pull the trigger. 😀
I bought my daughter a 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited for her first car because of the great price on it at just over 100,000 miles. It's got tremendous acceleration (almost too much). I have had to replace a piston, and the mechanic said that was typical because of their aluminum construction. The air conditioning isn't great. And it sounds like the differential needs some oil. Other than that, it seems to run fine.
I'm looking at buying that Commander for about $5,000. Can you push me one direction or another on that?
Thanks and good luck with yours.
I personally did not see a lot of those come in through the dealership during my time there (maybe because most of them were out of warranty already so customers took them to independent shops instead). From ones that did come in for service, I never found any major problems with them. Normal wear and tear and people seem to take real good care of those. Good luck!
