Hello all, I just saw a car wizard video saying that I should change the transmission fluid on cvts every 20 to 30k miles. He also said you should change it if you just bought the car. I bought my car 3 years ago 😬, but I also saw a Scotty video saying that if you change the transmission fluid after high mileage it may cause more issues. My car has 112,400 miles, I also don't know how the two previous owners maintained the car. What should I do? I don't want to mess up my transmission (even though it already has a small slip or something on acceleration.), but if I can prevent transmission failure I would like too 😅. Thanks!

High mileage is considered to be 200k or more. At that point if the transmission fluid never being touched at all, then you would never change the fluid.

Do you also have some records of the vehicle's maintenance? That would also tell you how the vehicle was treated.
