2007 Lexus ES 350 Why only one cooling fan works.The one on drivers side does not.Today I tapped on it and it started working but turned car off and restart it and turned ac full blast and it didn’t come on.Why Plz help in Houston.
Only one cooling fan working.The one on drivers side came on when I tapped the motor!Help somebody???
Wire 12 volts directly from the battery to the fan in question and see if it comes on. If it does not unless you tap it, you need a new fan, just like when your starter doesn't work and you tap it with a hammer and it works, you need a new starter.
If it were my car, and I have one like it, I would get a can of CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. Available at auto parts store and Walmart.
While the car is powered off, separate the cable connectors leading to the electric radiator fans assembly, spray the cleaner into both ends, let dry, then plug them back together. Also spray the connection going to the driver's side fan. You may have to detach the assembly to get to it.
There is also a relay that might be faulty.
