Good day,

Thank you for all that you do to help car owners.

Two weeks ago the check engine light ,P0171 came on. The scan tool used at O'Reilleys indicated that the mass air flow sensor needed changing. So I replace it with a Denso oem part and that solved the problem. I previously cleaned the sensor about 4 years ago.

The check engine light came on again today and the FIXD diagnosis part that I leave permanently installed, is displaying code P0171, system too lean, Bank one.

Is there a way to determine the specific issue?  My car starts with no issues. I'm almost positive, like the issue with the replaced mass air flow sensor issue, the gas mileage has declined.

trouble codes are not shopping lists. All this does is waste money, and you get no closer to fixing the car.

because you didn't fix the problem, which is likely that your engine is in fact running lean. This is why you troubleshoot before running out to buy parts. Good chance you have a vacuum leak.

Scotty has repeated many times never to leave anything plugged in.
