I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla with the 5-speed manual transmission. When I press the clutch down, there is a hissing noise. When I release the clutch, the noise goes away. What could that be? Thanks!

It's your throw out bearing.  You will need a new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing.  While your in there, check the engine rear crank seal and trans input shaft seal.  Now is the time to replace them if they're bad.
