How long does a manual 2007 VW Wolfsburg last? I have found one in cosmetically excellent condition both inside and out (like new) with 217,000 for $2800. If I buy it, I will drive it for only about a month before I resell. Would it be a reliable car? I wouldn’t want it breaking down within that one month frame. Buying it just to get used to driving a manual, really.

If it was a TDI manual, those things can last a long time and virtually run forever, but I would offer at max $2 grand. If it's the 2.5 NA 5 cylinder, they can be ok, although I would never buy one that's got over 200k miles. If it's turbo petrol, I would pass because they are known to have issues and one with 217k miles would mean it could be on its last legs.
