2008 Dodge Avenger Can a bad Totally Integrated Power Module cause overheating and if so would it have to be program if replaced?
I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger was told the TIPM was going out windshield wipers work half the time was also told that if they replaced the Totally Integrated Power Module that it would need to be reprogrammed is that true not sure what model but it's a four-cylinder engine with 2.4
From what I understand these TIPMs power up everything , including cooling fans. So yeah, I would say that's very likely.
instead of critiquing me why don't you answer the question if you know
@michaeltrapp1989 he's just letting you know how to use the community forum. Try not to take everything so personally. Thank you, Chuck.
MountainManJoe To be honest I don't know how your website work and not very good with computers in less taking them apart fixing them and putting it back together
No problem. I think Chuck was just trying to say that more information is needed to diagnose the issue. Like what are symptoms your car is showing... how many miles does the vehicle have... who told you the TIPM was bad and why. Stuff like that. A technician should be able to connect a diagnostic device to the module to find out what the faults are.
Yes, should have been clearer, no slight was intended. It's best to provide a brief description in the title and provide as much detail as possible in the body of your post. The more detail the better help can be given.
