Hello,
I have a 2008 honda accord with the 2.4 l 4cylinder engine.
When I start it up in the morning after a day or two of sitting, it makes an odd sound directly when the engine is fired up (Soft rattle that sounds like a snake “sssss” for 1-2 s), and when I floor it, there is a weird whistling noise from the engine, like of it has a turbo, but it obviously doesn’t. I don’t know if these 2 noises are related, and I really want to know what the reason could be.

Thats the sound of the VTC actuator. Harmless to the engine, you can live with it.
It usually happens at cold starts.
