Hi Scotty I love your show! Finally the truth! I drive my car less than anyone’s great-grandmother! ( insert laughing hyena)!!
{pear}

I do mostly local driving and brief highway stints. My car has 28,400 miles on it… never any mechanical problems…of course it’s a Honda! It wouldn’t pass PA inspection due to the passenger rocker panel rusting. ( Had an accident and ran over a curb. ) it has quite a bit of cosmetic damage but everything else is fine. One autobody place wouldn’t fix it “get a new car” another was going to fix it but replace the whole panel taking off the whole side of the car at $2245”. Another guy 57 years in business “ “I am going to put that baby in without taking the doors off $1600.” I love my car and want to repair it and buy a used Honda when prices go down. Do you think it is possible to safely replace it without taking the doors off? The rust is centered on the panel. Much thanks! Wish you lived near me! P.S. living on fixed income.

Why what a weird State rocker panels are rusted out and you can't drive a car. Where is Pennsylvania turned into Russia when it was communist. Too bad you're not in Houston there's plenty of Mexican body shops and fix that really cheap. You can cut and weld without taking the doors off but they sure ripping you off price wise there. Try to find a guy who does that kind of stuff in his garage or his barn on the weekends

What to heck do rocker panels have to do with a state inspection? A state inspection is for mechanical issues!
