[Solved] 2008 Mazda Mazda3. s Sport Hatchback 4D

I am looking to buy a 2008 Mazda Mazda3. s Sport Hatchback 4D (154,738) miles for 2,500. I am about an hour away so I haven't seen the car yet. Judging from the pictures, the exterior and interior are in good shape. The owner says there's no check engine light, and that they have been driving it with no issues whatsoever. They have a receipt to show they recently changed the brakes and the rotors. They say the muffler hangs a bit but doesn't make any noise, and has no impact on the performance of the car. 

I posted here a while back asking what car anyone would recommend for 2,700 since that is my budget. Would this be a reliable car if the owner is not lying and if I take care of it? My google search says they can go up to 300,000 miles if taken care of? Is that true?

And I live in a rural area so I don’t have to deal with stop and go traffic that much

Yeah they can be decent cars it's taken care of the main thing is if it's an automatic have the transmission checked out good
