Hey Scotty! I just bought a manual 2008 Toyota Yaris base model, 1.5L with 138k miles a couple of weeks ago. I just got it inspected and it was fine and it seems pretty solid - is there anything I should look out for?

Not much to really look out for. They are great cars and if you just keep up with the maintenance, they can go a really long time.

I suggest you monitor engine oil level since it is from years of Toyota's oil drinking folclore.
