My 2009 Acura TSX is indicating that my right rear tire is low on tire pressure. However, I checked the tire pressure just to realize that it's completely fine. Is it possible that it could be a bad or worn sensor??

the sensors don't wear out, but the batteries in them do

Quite possibly. It's also possible that if original the battery in the sensor has died a grievous death after 16 years.
