I am pretty sure the canister vent solenoid has went bad. From everything I researched, the whole sub frame has to come undone to fix it. I do not currently have any code, and the most annoying thing is filling the gas tank. Is there any special trick to either A, access the canister vent solenoid without doing all that extra work, or B, not trip the pressure sensor thing at the gas station. Thanks.
Clarification: Can you clarify what is happening when you try to fill with gas (which leads you to believe it’s the canister vent solenoid)?
Unfortunately yes, the rear subframe needs to be removed to replace the EVAP canister.
If you're having problems filling up , then this is a problem with Cadillacs that GM knows about, and they issued a bulletin for it.
the good news is you might not need to drop the frame to remove the whole canister, and just clean the inlet.
