Hey Scotty I have a 2009 Honda Accord with only 100,000 miles car runs like amazing .. if I get a muffler delete on my car ? Would there be any problems with the car ?
No. That 4 banger will sound like a farty lawnmower.
You most likely brake the law and make your neighbors angry but your car runs fine.
Why on earth would you want to do that?
Is that "cool"?
The Harley guys running straight pipes are bad enough!
Its your car. Do as you will but start saving now for hearing aids,,,,,,,you're gonna need them!
Removing the muffler will change the amount of back pressure that was engineered into the car so it runs correctly. This will cause you severe headaches and problems. It's not like the old days when you could run cherry bombs or straight pipes and get more horse power. Computer controlled engines do not like change, at all.
I wouldn't do it. Deleting a muffler does make more horsepower to a point but there will be a lot of dirt buildup underneath to mess with the paint of your car.
Should I add a after market muffler then?
No. I would leave the car as is. As @yaser said above, it wouldn't do much to the car but you would end breaking laws depending on where you live.
Don't remove it unless you are replacing it with an aftermarket muffler.
Straight pipes make terrible noise, cause loss of low end torque, and messes up the back pressure of the exhaust.
