Hi Scott, my car is about 170000 kms and suddenly seems to be having transmission issues. When driving it feels like the gears take longer  to change, rpm takes noticebly longer to get up to speed. Do you think it just needs a transmission fluid change and or transfer case/ differential. This car has no dipstick to check the tranny oil.

Well pray fluid and filter change would fix it because those are notorious expensive automatic transmissions that have a tendency to break down on those fancy Nissan made vehicles

today I was looking to do the fluid change but there is no dipstick for this car, I located the pan underneath and there is a drain plug and check plug, so the question is after I drain it, how do re-fill fluid through the check plug, not much space at all.

Asked around town and nobody could do the tranny fluid change for me. They mentioned that it could need a special tool to pump the fluid in, so I ended up taking it to the dealer. What they did was an update to engine and transmission control modules. As well as the transmission oil change and all wheel drive service. Im not sure what fixed the issue but my car is back to normal. Asked the service adviser how they did the tranny fluid change and she couldnt tell me, which was kind of frustrating. Oh well all is good now, except a leak in the power steering rack.

I own a 2010 EX35 with same issues. 133,000 miles just started. Was going to clean the throttle body and also see about update. The transmission feels very smooth still just peddle to power is delayed so thinking software update will work . Also I changed my battery recently and did not perform any of the relearn processes for idle because it seems fine but there is one for the pedal. As far as the power steering leak I'v narrowed it down to a line you must get under vehicle to examine?

To fill the transmission fluid, you can use a hand pump. Scotty has a video on that.
