[Solved] Should I change the transmission fluid

2010 Kia Forte 4 Cylinders 2 2.0L MFI DOHC 120 CID with 92k miles should I change tranmission fluid? No issues with it now, is it too late to change it now?

Sorry if you don't like the answer (down vote), @jim418, but it so happens that this very same question gets asked here a gazillion times, so a detailed discussion of the issues around transmission fluid changes have been collected in the site FAQ along with other very frequently asked questions.

Change the fluid with OEM from a Kia dealer. Don't used so called universals or "Made for Asian Cars" from auto parts stores. Who ever does the work tell them don't use any flush. Just drain the old fluid and fill with new. You might also consider changing the filter screen. That requires dropping the transmission pan and you will need a pan gasket. You might search around for YouTube videos of someone who has done this. You should also get a service manual for your car which will have a procedure for changing the fluid. You could consult the owners manual as to when the fluid should be changed. Typically 80k and 160k miles or 10 years which ever comes first.
