Hey Scotty, I have a 2010 Toyota Prius with about 145k miles. There are service records but it never mentions a transmission fluid change. So, assuming it has never been changed, would it be a good idea to drain it and put new fluid in? My mechanic is telling me that since it's a CVT it wouldn't be a bad thing, like how it would hurt a conventional AT and he says it would only be good for prolonging it's life. What is your take?
Thanks for what you do for the car community.

Of course it would. If you don't do maintenance, it will fail. CVTs need it extra often too. 30-40k miles.
