I have bought a 2011 BMW X3 2 years ago. It has the n52 engine non turbo. It have 130k miles on it now. How much longer do you think my car will last? I haven’t have to do many repairs on it, should I keep it or sell it?

Hi there! Wow that's nice to hear your bmw is doing great at 130,000 miles. I own a bmw 428i with only 40,000 miles. I feel like bmw's last quite a while and are pretty reliable if they are maintained properly. Yours may last another 5 years if maintained well. But when they do have a problem, they can get pretty expensive to repair (depending on if you can do it or if someone else has to do it). I feel like your car has a lot more life left in it though, especially since you say you haven't had to do any major repairs yet. If the transmission and engine are still running like a champ, then I would keep it. Maybe if you start having some problems and don't feel like messing with it, then you could sell it.

Hope my opinion helped you!

I think the n52 was the last solid engine they made. The n54 and n55 aren’t the greatest.

Eventually it's gonna cost you if you keep it long enough. As we all know luxury cars are expensive to maintain. If you have that luxury and enjoy driving the car, keep it. If you don't wanna spend a small fortune sell it.

Bmw need to be maintain like any other car.

Just in bmw their no room to work on the car.

U end up fixing something and breaking other thing eg clips. Because it made like this.

Also cost of part is more expensive.

Lastly I stress 15,000 km is way to long between oil changes. Hence bearing, stem go.

I do change my oil every 10,000 or 7500km.

Lastly to many sensor and electronic tripping the computer.

I would say if you love the car and can afford if something goes wrong on it, than keep it. But if you can't afford if something goes wrong on it than I would sell it for something more reliable that can last longer like a Lexus. It is up to you but this is my opinion.
