Is this a good car to purchase. It has the 3.5 V6 engine, 5sp trans w/od, 4 wheel drive, 80,843 on the odometer, in one minor accident to left front corner of car, 2T3DK4DV3BW042122 is the VIN number, made in US, I’m guessing Indiana. Has had 2 owners locally within 60 miles, in the Wilmington, NC, 28403 zip code, and Myrtle Beach, SC areas. For sale at a used car lot. They want 14,480 for it. What do you think? Saw the car on Car Gurus. Have not gone to look at it or test drive or have a mechanic look at yet yet. Waiting to see what you have to say.
So first of all you're saying a used car lot; well it's the worst and least trustworthy place to buy a used car from. I don't like dealerships either but I still prefer them with used over used car lots. If you have to buy this car definitely have a trusted independent mechanic check it. And definitely check to make sure it wasn't in an accident or a salvage title. If you can avoid buying from a used car lot that's the best option.
1) Assuming it is in good condition and a honest mechanic verified this hood condition.
2) The accident was only a fender bender, and did not compromise the structure or the mechanicals of the vehicle.
3) Assuming comps are within the same range in your area.
