Recently purchased this car and for the life of me I cannot seem to get the USB working, I plugged my USB flash drives I have several of them into my USB connection in my car and nothing happens I switched the connection to USB but nothing happens, what would cause a USB not to work, right now I have to use Bluetooth to connect the phone to audio to play music via my phone. I've been reading it could be a problem with the electrical or could be the fuse. I've looked in the manual but I cannot find a fuse specific to the USB, would anyone happen to know the exact fuse for the USB?
Have you tried plugging a device into that USB connector like an iPhone or something to see if the charging indicator comes on?
I've tried plugging my android phone and nothing happens
Try removing fuse #19 and put it back. It is located in the fuse box under the hood. Make sure the car is off when you pull the fuse.
it may use the same fuse as the cigar lighter
Do you have a DiscOnKey/Flash Drive that has an LED indicator that’s built into it?
Its not uncommon for the actual USB port to fail and not even supply voltage.
I've tried several different USB drives though
It’s to check wether the port is broken or the head unit.
what would cause a USB not to work
In which format have you saved your music files? If it’s .mp4 it won’t work -

Are you seeing any of these error messages? -

Is your USB drive/s, password protected? -

I am not seeing any error messages, when I plug in the USB flash drive and change the stereo to USB nothing appears to happen, the format my music files are in is .mp3
no USB drive is not password protected either
I suspect the USB cable adapter has a loose connection maybe where the cable plugs in, behind the head unit. Try taking it apart, inspecting and reinserting it, or try with another aftermarket usb cable adapter which is compatible with your vehicle. The part is pretty cheap (<$10) on online marketplace websites.
exactly what I'm thinking that or a fuse, I am not really understanding this "Try taking it apart, inspecting and reinserting it, or try with another aftermarket USB cable adapter that is compatible with your vehicle. The part is pretty cheap (<$10) on online marketplace websites."
but I don't see how a different USB cable will do, I'm trying to run the music of my plugged in flash drive, not a USB cable connected to a phone
I did look at that but I don't see any screws or anything to be able to attempt to take it apart
Possibly @jack62 may be able to come up with something, a quick search is not turning up a dedicated fuse for USB on that car.
If you plug in a USB drive with an indicator light does it flash at all, even briefly, indicating that USB power is present? What filesystem are your flash drives formatted with versus the filesystems supported by the car radio? (FAT32 is pretty much universal but the radio may not be able to read EXFAT, NTFS, APFS, EXT4, etc.).
when I plug my USB flash drives into the USB port no light comes on, I have tried several different USB flash drives and the file system I have tried converted exFAT to fat32, and still doesn't work, but these same USB flash drives work in my t.v media player and other devices are fine so I know it's not the USB drive itself
I don't see any screws or anything to be able to attempt to take it apart
Here you go -

the cig lighter connection works because I have a USB charger plugged in there and works fine at charging my phone
then you can go through your fuse box. Labels are usually under the lid or in the manual.
