After watching your video about changing the transmission and differential fluids, I don't know what to do. I bought a 2012 Honda CR-V AWD with 140K miles. The vehicle had no service records and the owner couldn't tell me if the tranny/diff fluids had been changed. The mechanic that checked it out couldn't tell for sure either but said the fluids looked a bit "burnt". The transmission runs fin but it does have a bit of a hesitation around 10-15 mph....sometimes. Should I completely drain and change the fluids or should I take out just a bit and put lucas transmissions conditioner in?
I would change the fluids, and I wouldn't go near it with any additives if it works fine.
Just warm it up and drain, … than replace. Differential is part of a transmission, … so no differential drain. There is rear differential, … but that requires different Honda fluid. Check your manual for type and amount needed if you want to change that, too.
F.S.
Especially the rear differential. A MUST on using the Honda fluids for the internal clutch plates. Drain and fill only
