- Hey Scotty, I have a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander with 120k miles, in NJ with drastically low temperatures, the car isn’t blowing any air whether it’s hot or cold and it had a brief moment where it overheated once while I was idle waiting in line for free tire air. It took about 3-4 minutes of turning the car off to remedy the overheating. What could be going on?

If it's not blowing any air at all, check the heater blower resistor, fan motor, relay and switch. Why did it overheat? Stuck thermostat, old radiator cap, bad temp sensor, worn out water pump or drive belt, clogged radiator? You need to find these things out.

Did you test all the speeds? If there's no air, then the blower motor failed, or there's no power to it. It's an electrical problem.
Step 1 for any electrical problem is to:
- check fuses/relays (same as in your house)
it had a brief moment where it overheated once
This is unrelated to your blower.
Obviously engines shouldn't overheat. Get your cooling system checked out. You've got a failing pump, thermostat, or something.
