My family is growing. I am looking to upgrade from a sedan to three row SUV. I saw a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder with 120,000 miles for $8,000. I know that the newer 2013 and up have CTVs and poor reliability. Curious what you think of the 2012 with the 4.0L engine and the automatic transmission. Or would a Ford Explorer be a better choice.

I'm not a big fan of Nissan. Their quality isn't all that great. I also can't recommend Ford at all.
I would look for an older Honda Passport or Pilot, or a Toyota Highlander or Sequoia.
