Hey Scotty, what are your thoughts on a 2013 Chevy Avalanche LTZ 4x4. I know you don't like GM lately but I have an Avalanche and they seem well made maybe one of GM's last good trucks?

No they make awful cars and trucks and Scotty doesn't like them.

@jacksonishere
I'll add my 2 cents as I do own a chevy avalanche. I have alays been a Ford guy and have owned my fair share of F150's, but when the newley redesigned Chevs came out I decided to lease the darn thing cause I liked the look and features that no other truck had .
Well sure enough after the 3 year lease ended, I bought it out. So my 2007 is still running like a charm after 13+ years. I will agree that I won't touch the new crap that GM is pushing out !!!
But as a current Avalanche owner, I will say that this truck hasn't given me any issues to date.
Also, being that the 2013 was the last year of production, for some reason their value and demand has increased.

@jacksonishere I agree I bought 2008 ava Ls 5.3 , because I cant resist innovation in engineering and didn't expect to love it so much. Its been a solid car with no repairs beside dash board replacement and wheel assembly hub replacement. I have a noise from rear differential at 106k miles low miles due to us having two cars and my wife would use both while i deployed multiple times. I changed gear oil twice once at 45k and one time recent only difference was this time used 100% synthetic I've noticed minor metal and a humming especially when slowing at low speeds. any suggestions on oil or if I'm looking at gear wear and replacement. 2nd question should I swap axle or gears as axle seems manageable if cost was the same
