2013 F150 Platinum 4x4 crewcab.
Replacing wire harness for the right rear door. Noticed last night the replacement harness was slightly different than the original so I closed the door and researched it this morning. Harness is fine but now, I cannot get the door open. I climbed inside and replaced the panel and door cable and tried to use the interior handle pull but it's not working. Obviously, I need to open the door to replace the wire harness. HELP! Why is it not opening?
Never mind y'all. I am clearly a special breed. The door was locked and since I had removed the harness, the electric lock wasn't working on that door. I will leave this and let you figure out how I fixed the issue myself. Somedays are better than others....uhg!
@todd314 No problem, we've all been there with those "D'oh!" moments. Thanks for letting us know! At least you didn't have to pull the door panel off with the door stuck closed. (I've done that and it's no fun!)
Why is it not opening?
There's no way to tell from here. You're going to have to get inside the door and operate the latch itself manually to get it open.
