Hey Scotty roughly 120mile to and from work normally during non covid... I have a constant reoccurring P0430 which I just shut off... I got my waterpump done last year.. is it possible they could have not seated the intake manifold correctly or skipped a tooth when realigning the timing chain? Wouldn’t those trip other codes as well? Also I’m thinking of putting new shocks. Is it worth it or start looking for another vehicle?

Just out of curiosity what did it cost to get your water pump changed?

It was painful... don’t remind me smh... my mechanic charged $2000 for that and some other work which is a great deal... I’ve seen this job run upwards of $3-5000 at the dealer

Well this is a good place to warn people against buying a used Ford Edge, Explorer, Taurus, Flex up about 2013.  Absolutely bone headed move by Ford.  Also used in the Mazda CX9.  STAY AWAY.  Those vehicles are ticking time bombs.  I will try and find the list of models and years.

I’ve heard they improved the design by a lot... I’ve heard many many car manufacturers are going to this now.. sticking the water pump inside and running it off the chain lmao
